Pain Shift Therapeutics is developing a promising portfolio of novel non-addictive pain relief compounds based on a new class of selective molecules.
This approach aims to address the urgent need for effective pain management without the risks of addiction associated with traditional opioid medications.
Who are we:
We are scientist expert in sensory biology and pain field. We are using advanced scientific methods to study how genes and behavior work together. This helped us understand how the body controls pain-sensing nerves. These nerves cells can change over time, which can lead to long-lasting pain problems. Through our research, we have discovered new factors that contribute to chronic pain and some headache disorders and found new ways to address those disorders.

What do we do:
Pain Shift Therapeutics is developing new molecules and repurposing. Pain Shift is working on two main approaches to treat pain:
A treatment that carefully removes a small number of nerve cells that are causing too much pain. This helps return pain sensations to normal levels.
A treatment based on genetics, which unlocks the recovery process from chronic pain.
Both of these programs are designed to shift pain perception from an unhealthy state back to normal. Our goal is to help people who suffer from chronic pain without using addictive medications
Our greatest advantage
Our company is collaborating with academics to develop new ways to treat chronic pain that offer significant advantages over current treatments. Here is what makes our approach special:
Fewer doses needed: Our treatments are designed to be effective with fewer applications. This means patients won't need to take medication as frequently as they might with traditional pain treatments.
Long-lasting effects: The pain relief from our treatments is intended to last for a longer time. This extended effectiveness could greatly improve the quality of life for people dealing with chronic pain.
By needing fewer doses and providing longer-lasting relief, our treatments could offer a more convenient and effective option for managing chronic pain.

To patients:
what is pain
Pain is your body's alarm system, signaling that something isn't right. It's an unpleasant sensation that can range from mild discomfort to intense agony. Pain originates from the disruption of specialized cells in your body called nociceptors, which are responsible for detecting potentially harmful stimuli. These pain-sensing cells can be triggered by various factors, such as injury, inflammation, or disease. When activated, they send signals to your brain, which interprets these messages as pain. This complex process explains why pain is a highly individual experience – everyone's nervous system and brain interpret these signals differently. Pain isn't just a physical sensation; it can profoundly affect your emotional well-being too. Chronic pain, in particular, can impact your mood, sleep, and overall quality of life. At our company, we understand the urgent need for better pain management solutions. Our mission is to accelerate the development of innovative, non-addictive pain treatments and bring them to the clinic faster. We're committed to advancing new therapies that target the root causes of pain, offering hope for more effective relief with fewer side effects.
Our goal is to help people like you who are dealing with pain, providing new options that could significantly improve your daily life and well-being.
